SENIOR 2 BALLET AND SOFT MUSICAL COMEDY (SMC)
This class is for students aged 16 + years and extends training from the "SENIOR 1" class. As well as Ballet, we continue to study SOFT MUSICAL COMEDY (SMC) which is a style of dance taken from the 1930/40’s era. These two subjects are combined because one can simply not exist without the other and it develops flexibility and strength. This class is an examination class, and students will be encouraged to enter when Miss Sammi considers they are proficient enough, taking examinations up the highest ABD levels including Grade 5 “Student Teacher” and even higher levels.

UNIFORM
Girls:
Any leotard, pink ballet tights, canvas or leather split sole ballet shoes (satin for exams and shows).
Boys:
Black SJDA T shirt/white ballet vest, black leggings, black ballet shoes, white ballet socks.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This class is the most senior class and therefore taught only by Miss Sammi. Students in this class will focus on the highest senior level ballet techniques and enhanced performance levels. Students will also learn show dances in both subjects and are eligible to be in the SJDA Show, which is held at the Neeld Hall in Chippenham.
CLASS TIMES AND DISCOUNT
Classes are held every Thursday from 5:15 – 6:15.
A discount is offered for those students that are proficient to study pointe. Pointe class and Senior 2 Ballet class is offered at a discounted price if taken together (Pointe is held Thursday 6:15 – 6:45). Sibling and Term discounts also apply, if eligible.
